CUT TO FIT

This bespoke 40inch mens jacket, was created in response to a module brief in 'tailoring development'  whilst I was studying in my second year at the University of South Wales.

During this module I learnt about the different types of interfacings that are used within a tailored jacket as well as the different hand sewing techniques that are utilised to put it together. This includes pad stitching, slip stitching and the art of creating button holes. I built on my knowledge of fabric draping and how to create the correct pitch for a sleeve.

Furthermore, directional technical packs were created to explain how to assemble the jacket and the different types and layers of fabric used for construction.
