The future is digital

It will become incorporated into design, production,  manufacturing and retail. It has already become a trade mark point for high-end fashion brands such as Balenciaga, Gucci and Ralph Lauren to name a few as entry points into the metaverse. With Web3 expanding every day and the fashion in the metaverse estimated to generate over $50 billion in additional revenues streams in the next decade (Morgan Stanley, 2021), there is no better time to learn how to design digitally!

I believe in the power of education. I believe that by sharing information, we can ensure a fairer and open industry, providing access and opportunity to all. This is what I am to help achieve through the courses outlined below. As a student myself,  I understand what it's like to feel baffled by 3D design platforms.

Let me alleviate that for you and enable you to create the beautiful designs of your dreams!

From our first lesson, I really liked that you had a plan for our lessons and a direction on how to approach my project. You gave structure to my project which at first for me was hard to know where to start. I really liked that we started on the narrative and moodboard for my project; before learning about Clo3D. It gave me a stronger understanding of my project and the narrative I am trying to tell, e.g. discussing all the scenarios of an emotion to exploring the meaning of colour. I am super grateful for the resources you have sent me about colour - I learnt so much. I am happy that I know there are companies who have the same passion for colour as I do.

In terms of teaching clo3D, I really like that we started on making basic garments (garments we have discussed to use for my project) and explored the different details we could add to the garment. Through the process of making the garment, I liked how you were also teaching how each button works - I learned quicker whilst you applied the function of the button to making the garment. Also, I liked how you showed me other softwares like Maximo and Adobe Source and how it could be used with Clo3D.

Overall, I think you're an amazing teacher! You're very kind, friendly, easy to talk to and enthusiastic about what you teach. I can't wait to learn from you more and I hope more people can see that and learn from you too! You're awesome!

Jess pushed me to step out of my comfort zone. She was helpful & supportive, willing & eager to help me with a multitude of helpful guides and instructions that help me build up transferable skills. I’m thankful that she went out of her way as much to show and help me as much as she has.
